Looks like the second rut is starting. Big body small rack 4 point had a seven doe harem going in my alfalfa field 150 yards from window. One of the does headed right at the house. The buck followed until he was about 40 yards from the house, and 10 yards from the dog fence. Then my little Britt in the dog exercise pen saw him/ He ran to the fence (52 inch cattle panels) and started barking at him. That buck lowered his head and rammed that fence. Put a good sized dent in it. Britt made a bee line for his doghouse. And the buck made a stiff legged U-turn and walked away slowley, glancing over his shoulder the whole time.
