He's going to have test to take, things he has to know and schools to attend if he wants to make rank. That's why you need to tke him to see a recruter. Talk the the guy first and tell him whats going on grade wise and let the recruter tell him that if he isn't into learning the military don't want him.
The big problem with recruters isn't them. It's the system that convinces a kid he can learn a job that is marketable. In most cases that just isn't true.
