I am no electrician but I have a GREAT respect for it and try to do it right.
YOU, and others, have helped me do the right thing a few times, and I am thankful.
I might add a simple little thing that many folks neglect or maybe they are not aware.
There is a reason for 'Polarized Plugs" on cords. I know it depends on how something is wired, but some old extension cords--lamps--and other items, are still used and the plug is not polarized. I would advise anyone to rewire and be sure it is right and throw away the old extension cords.
I am definately not qualified to give much advise but I believe I am correct.
