The 'Fiscal Cliff' thing isn't the problem its only a symptom of the problem.The chickens are coming home to roost and it ain't gonna be pretty when they get here.There are no good easy painless solutions that everyone is looking for out of this economic situation only very painful ones economically when the Gov't at some point is going to have to cut in half what it now spends. basiclly two ways to go 1)Cut spending and default on much of the debt and entitlements like Medicare and Social Seccurity and totally do away with much Gov't spending and have a deep depression or 2)Keep borrowing and printing money that will eventually become worthless so even though things like Bonds are paid off they'll be with worthless Dollars with no buying power.Pretty much obvious from the Gov't actions and the what the Federal reserve is doing is it's choice Number 2.
