You are so right buickanddeere. It bothers me a bit when we say 'He just snapped' No, he didn't just snap, there were signs of problems for quite some time. Most of the time the indicators are evident all the life of the violent one. We'll find out all about this after the fact. Why can't we see this kind of thing coming and stop it before a tragedy. Society doesn't allow it I guess.
There's a book by Gavin deBecker called The Gift of Fear. deBecker studies the behavior of violent people, and helps some who feel threatened. Rich guys I'm sure. He says that all these kinds of violent behavior is indicated well in advance of the act. They don't snap, they brood and simmer and stew until the time is right.
