You have a good point there! I believe those that can be trained,and schooled in a little tactical training, and legally permitted to carry a weapon, on their person without being shown as a threat to anyone, especially the younger ones. Should be permitted to do so.
This instance today or any other school shootings The faculty members would, and could not get involved. Only because when gunfire abrubts you don't take a ruler to try to defend those in direct danger.
