I checked that, set at 1/4", per diagram, it was at 1/2", no holes, it floats, needle valve moves freely, needle and seat replaced. You would think a leaking needle valve or stuck float, I have not seen the tractor, been too busy to go there.
Only thing I can think of is that adjustable needle, power jet, not the idle. You can shut the fuel off on the carb to the jet or let it out as far as you want, this replaced the solenoid, as the part was too expensive, I recall when the solenoid went bad, and them getting the price on the part, then using this instead. I recall this tractor running rich at times, black soot in exhaust when throttling up.
I think he did at least spark plugs, I was not sure what happened, what caused it to quit, he got it running again, I'll likely have to go there to adjust the carb.
