A friend of mine owns an appliance store, and sells almost all of the brands. I still buy from him, and usually at price. But he has told me that the Sears Kenmores' are about as hard to beat as any. Most of the Sears stuff is rebranded Whirlpool, and the worst problem with them is that folks call Sears for service and are disappointed at the machine rather than the dealer.
