rrlund, I understand what you are saying about distance and time, but tires vary a great deal in tread depth, composition of the rubber, and traction. The point I was making was that cheapest is usually not the best value, but many people buy based on price, thus making the tire business cut throat, and at least around here there is a tire dealer on every corner, saying they have the best prices.
