Larry, I've got a soft spot for them old ford trucks, '61-'66 and that heavier series(single axle in black). I'd make a hobby out of those, they're fun to work on, see all kinds of parts, whole trucks and similar on ebay over the years.
Mine,(rangoon red orig. color) is a '64 with 80,000 some odd miles original, 292 Y block V8, 4 spd with 2 spd rear and Obeco grain/cattle body, would love to totally restore it, was ready for the scrap pile when I got it, given some work it did need, the photos make it look a lot better that in person. Its been a great old truck, that I seldom use, but there when you need it.
Also like the '48 Ford, going back quite a few years further, styling was nice in my opinion.
