Now you've gone a stretch further than "big". There is no requirement in New Jersey to register a gun. To own a gun, you must apply for and receive a gun owners ID card. A separate one for long guns or hand guns. This requires the state to do a complete background check on the individual. Any history of mental illness, domestic disturbance convictions or a host of other things can disqualify. But, what I said is true. Without that owners ID card, you are in violation. Ask the guy who moved into NJ with some guns from another state and was jailed. He had no history of convictions of any kind and had simply misinterpreted NJ law along with some bad information. His sentence was terminated by Gov Christie. The previous governor had no such inclination. So, I'm right. You're wrong.
