I was using a 4960 John Deere tractor to bale with last summer. Exhaust pipe comes up on the right front corner of the cab. I started it and let it warm up for a little and took off. Got about a half mile down the road and was shifting up and opened the throttle a little more when I saw something black fly down from above the right corner of the cab and land in the ditch. I figured I better stop and see what it was in case something had fallen off. Backed up and got out and found a well charcoaled starling laying on the ground. It had crawled in the top of the pipe and must have slipped and fell down in. Felt sorry for it.
