The Chinese standard of living is getting better every day. US is getting worse. Yes, at a certain point, open the job shops here equal to labor costs there, save the container ship expenses. I don't care where the CEO was born, all the super rich live on 200 foot yachts in the French Riviera. They have no patriotism or concern other than profit, preferably US dollars or euros, but money is money. A few weeks ago I caught something on a PBS show about the history of Mexican illegals... remember when all the US car parts, ignitions etc were 'made in Mexico'? When Chinese people were starting to sound off after Tienemin Square, auto parts companies said to the Chinese shop workers 'would you work for less money and under worst conditions than a Mexican or Central American?'. When the answer was yes, latinos had to start coming north for long term income, not just season jobs. How big is autolite's rowboat? And where is that anchored? Not just unions and EPA people, but 'kids' have to have a 'work ethic', and production companies study this too..
