old, I doubt very much if you'd ever find an egg that is 6 mnth old in any store to day much less a year. Majority would probabley only be days old. Some sizes small in particular that don't sell real well might be a bit older say may be a month. I to work on a egg farm when a kid also and some eggs did sit in cooler longer than I think they were supposed to according to regulations and then were packaged and given a best before date. Like I said these were mostly small eggs from when we got a load of new hens in and had lot of small eggs. Year old egg even if refrigorated from minites after it was layed I'm pretty sure would be near rotten. Not saying there ain't eggs in stores that are older than they should be but I think your "egg"agerating or just don't remember it was so long ago. LOL. Rocko.
