Mille Lacs.........ahh home sweet home. I have lived 1 mile off the east shore for 33 years, and have never ice fished on the lake. Summer fished it several times, but I actually prefer local smaller lakes for sumer fishing in the land of 10,000 (closer to 15,000) lakes. Mille Lacs is way to full of tourists and people from the twin city metro area who only think of themselves while on the water. I like a quiet lake with 5 or 6 boats quietly fishing. Not 1,500 boats speeding all over the place with 200 jet skis whipping in and out of the fishing areas.
