I got something in early November that just hung on and on. I think I am finally over it, but it sure did mess up my enjoyment of the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Since I had chills and fevers, as well as body aches, I suspect that it was flu, but I also may have had a cold at the same time or right after the flu. I always have some trouble with nasal congestion and sinus pressure, but I got a real bad sinus infection, which caused me to need to use antibiotics, which I try to avoid.
Usually if I get a cold, I spend a day feeling like I might be getting a cold, another day starting to feel sick, another day feeling just plain lousy and doing nothing, another day feeling quite a bit better and then a couple of days coughing and blowing out the congestion, but not feeling that bad.
With this last whatever-it-was, it took lots longer, and when I thought I was getting over it, the bad symptoms would come back. I sure hope I am immune now, because I was as sick as I have been in YEARS.
