It's too far the other direction in Houston schools. Little or no homework.
My Daughter teaches high school sophomores. Due to budget cuts they only have 1 book for every 2 students and they share. Books stay in the class room.
She gets 1 ream of paper for the year and a budget for copies that runs out half way through the year. The teachers end up having to pay the difference out of there own pockets or beg students to provide supplies.
Part of the problem is there is 1 administrator of some type per every teacher.
