Hey there; I enlisted in 1954 I was qualified for OCS (Officers Candidate School) before I left town. After Basic training I went to Ft. Benning, The course was 21 weeks long, I went through 20 weeks. Had my uniform ordered, passed all security check etc.. Then I started having nightmares, about my buddies coming up out of their graves. In OCS we had to write letters to the next of kin, of the men killed by our wrong decisions.I know it was imaginary but, I guess I was weak for not being able to send men out to die, I can somewhat understand their feelings. I requested dissmissel from the course. I pissed my instructors off, for being "chicken", but I can sleep at night. BobGodBless
