I use a .222. It's a little expensive for ammo. Around $.90 a round but mine shoots dead nuts at 100 yards. 2 1/2 inch drop at 275 yards. I hit a ground hog at 275 in the neck and popped its head off. It has killed many deer and is a small fast round. Worth a look but ammo is hard to find as its not a popular caliber.
