Links are (usually blue) clickable words that connect you to a new site. Attachments that are documents or pictures are not links. Attachments that are executable files (.exe extension) are not to be selected at all. If opened accidentally, do Run it, back out and delete it. If a trusted individual gives you a document or picture, no issue. if they forward something to you don't do it. Good Malware protection, Good antivirus protection, and best practices will minimize your exposure. Do not put other peoples jump drives in your USB ports. Do not put someone elces external hard drive in your USB ports.
