I will never understand cat lovers. My wife and kids love cats. My shop is covered in cat crap and stinks of cat pee, my barn is the same, the basement where she keeps her ancient cats too. She'll do a load of laundry and the darn cat will sleep in the basket on the clean laundry or knock the whole thing over onto the floor, which is covered in cat hair and bits of litter of course, and she'll forgive the cat instantly. I drop a dirty sock outside the hamper and it's the end of the world! I'm going to start crapping in her flower beds, puking on her car hood and peeing on everything in site. Maybe I'll be forgiven too, but I doubt it.
Her cats won't mess with rats at all. Birds and mice, baby rabbits, frogs, that's about it. I have to poison the rats.
