JD Seller, I think you naied it, it is a very sad black eye on our society. And we all wonder why our country is in a tail spin. Our school has funds for sports, but they have trouble balanci.g the budget. Only one guy from NE Iowa made it big time, but we stll throw money at sports ....for the good of the children. We have to have school on bad weather days, but we can load up the kids for sundown, state tournamets, and games, because we, we, well we just have toi! I live next to the gym here in town, and every night the lights are on, and parents are lined up in their cars waiting for a bus from a game up to two hrs away to return. The profits from sports is judt like me telling the little lady the profits that my old tractors make. All of us have traveled down that trail........you know.....we already have the truck and trailer, the fuel, tires, paint, oil,....well we got all that just sitting in the shop...... And now..thanks to Ebay...we can show the wife what a bargin price we paid for the tractor! Just like the sports folks telling us about the profits from sports.
