Only time I went, about 6 years ago I got a room at a Motel on the east side of 65, thought it was a days Inn but was not a brand name and was pretty close to the river.
Knew a Gal that was there and called her to meet up. She said they were going to the NATP and if I didn't get tickets last year, I'd never get in. I was feelin lonly and noticed a long bar attached to the motel just off the check in desk. So I walked in sat dow and had beer. Thje place filled up in a hurry and afore ya knew it, there was tables crashin and chairs and fists flyin! I watched with amusment fer a few minutes then snuck out a side door. A gal in the bar had told me where to go for "restaurant row" and lo and behold there's a sign in the HOOTER'S window welcoming farm show folks so I wheeled in!
Walked in the door and a table full of Case/IH red hats hailed me over to sit with 'em.Had a coupla pitchers settin and could tell, they weren't their first. Also, the Boss man was throwing $20's at two waitresses like nothing.
As it got to around 8:45, one of the Case guys tells the Boss, "we could use a wet T shirt contest!" The Boss whips out a couple $100 bills and one of the girls takes off...I'm thinking we're in trouble now...she comes back to the table with a pitcher full of water and dumps half of it on the front of the other gals shirt, and then the other one returns the favor! I couldn't believe it.
Sorry fer the long post, but it IS TRUE!
When I saw the gal that I knew at the show the next day, she said she was sorry that I was probably bored and alone!!!
If I was to go again, I'd pay extra to stay at that same motel!!! Wish I could remember the name of it!
