Yup, I DO have wood. Bought a foreclosed house next to my property in November. Stunk to high heaven from cat pee. Ripped up ALL the carpeting, sealed the sub-floor and put down over 900 sq ft of 3/4" red oak. Finished with the poly 2 weekends ago. It was real nice to do it on a house that is empty. Was able to finish the floor and let it cure for 2 weeks w/o any traffic. Funny thing is that the kitchen has a laminate oak product that's in good shape and we were going to leave it. After we put in the 3/4" oak next to it, wife said "rip up the kitchen and replace with red oak". We also have 3/4" red oak in our kitchen at our current house that is over 10 yrs old. Floor has held up REAL well in a high traffic area.
