Yes you do have to have a programer to bypass the regen. If you dont you will constantly have a check engine light, and it will de-rate/ go into limp mode. Now for the really bad news. You may have waited to long. In the last couple of months the EPA went in and padlocked the doors at H&S performance. After making a example of H&S for selling illegal delete's(tuner's and hard parts) all the other manufacturer's have started to toe the line. I was talking to a vendor at the NFMS and he said anyone that didnt have the stuff already was out of luck unless you can find someone willing to part with a used one. He even offered to buy mine off my Dodge that was sitting out in the parking lot! On a brighter note, AFS is getting ready to introduce a high flow DPF. All the manufacturers still make tuners, but there is NO delete programs in them. Hopefully some where there is a guy on his computer writing black market tunes as we speak.
