Stan, I often think the same things. But, I've also come up with a few answers as to why things are like this.
They ask if you speak spanish or english so the can give you to some clerk who only speaks Swahili and can really screw your account up....
They tell you to wash your hands in the restroom. Ido, because my hands are ususally greasy or full of manure, and I don't want to get things dirty when I go....
The lead vehicle at the stop light has to put their makeup kit and texting materials away before they can legally drive again....
And SWMBO gets mad as hail at me because I 'count' the lights when we're going somewhere, and I'm a bit late (as usual). I count the red ones versus the green ones. It's usually something like '3 & 10'- 3 greens and 10 reds. It really pizzes her off when I do that.....
