Is this a recent problem or one that existed before you changed the clutch? Did you cut the flywheel at that time?
I'd be much more inclined to think that the pinch bolt that holds the clutch fork to the cross shaft is broken and that's what's preventing proper disengagement. Also... a disc that's installed backwards or had it's hub blow up could also easily cause this problem... as could broken/bent PP fingers I don't know how much you'd have to cut a flywheel so that it would effect clutch release but I think you'd have other problems first...
