They banned golf carts from EAA airshow in Oshkosh many years ago. I've never been to Florida Flywheelers convention, but I think it's safe to say that Oshkosh is much larger, so there's no reason to believe that Florida Flywheelers can't do the same. I can assure you there are just as many fat old pharts at Oshkosh as there are at the Flywheelers.
I found it interesting to see what the two conventions say about golf carts:
From http://www.airventure.org/planning/services.html: "Single seat personal electric convenience vehicles, specifically designed for those with disabilities, are allowed on the convention site and can also be rented. Automobiles, golf carts, motorcycles, mopeds, bicycles, personal transportation machines such as Segways, and all-terrain vehicles are not recognized as authorized vehicles for those with disabilities and are not allowed on the convention site."
From http://www.floridaflywheelers.org/ "Golf cart rental call: Mid-Florida Golf Carts 386-736-0112 or 800-385-1385 www.midfloridagolfcarts.com"
