I have two 23 channel and one 40 channel somewhere around here, and a base antenna that I never put up. In the mid 70s when I first installed one on my truck I was driving about 40 miles one way to work, and made several new friends because about six of us would be traveling in the same direction every morning, Met one man that I had worked with about twenty years earlier and lost track of. Another came by the house a couple years ago and he called me on the phone about a month ago. I know of at least two occasions when I had car trouble on the road I used CB to get help. They served their purpose.
