I run a muffler on my 95 and i do not see any power loss at all , Myself i do not like LOUD trucks loud bikes . If your worried about power loss then why did not drill the baffle ??? as far as a cold air intake yea they really work , sure they do as they are still drawing air from inside the engine compartment . What they do is draw money out of your pocket . Just like my buddy with his 2001 had to put the loud huge exhaust system on it to get better fuel mileage he was getting 16-16.5 before after he was getting 16-16.5 BUT he was down on cash to the tune of 750 bucks ,. Asked him how much fuel could he have bought with the money he spent on the exhaust system . Then he was told by EXPERTS that he needed to get a tuner so he did as this was the cure to the LOW FUEL MILEAGE so he got it and once again he gained no mileage but it did perk it up a little BUT here again another 750 out the winder. Ya wat to wake up your 94 First off have the valves adjusted probably never been done , Next have the pump timing checked here again probably never been done , next open up the aneroid open up the fuel plate and turn the RPM's up This is what i have done to mine and other then buying the Snap ON cummins tool kit for the Cummins so i can do my own work it has cost me NOTHING to get mine to run well . BUT it is your wallet so do as you see fit. I am no expert on Cummins i just work on them and still learning , The boys down the street from me are and are busy all the time fixen the trucks they have JUICED up . The drive line on a pick up will only take so much before you start maken SPARE PARTS.
