Funny now---but was not so funny when it happened.
Many years ago, I was driving metal fence post with a home made driver. The driver was made from a 2" heavy wall pipe with a cut off axle hub welded for extra weight. I then welded a 2' length of 1" rebar across the top for a handle.
I needed an extra long post , so I welded two post together. This pit the top of the driver a good distance over my head. I had to grip the Pipe section to get the post started. I never realised that the cross rebar had turned and It hit my head.
