Probably 10 years old. Sitting up on the edge of a gravity box watching/kicking oats into the little 4" auger setting in the wagon, going up through floor above center of drive through corn crib. I recall catching myself nodding off once or twice. Next thing I know I'm waking up, laying on my side, on the ground. Auger is rattling empty. I roll over on my back, and I'm looking up at the steel wagon tongue. Actually had to move quite a bit to get out from under tongue. I climb back up and go to work, just in time to see my cousin come down from overhead, thinking the wagon was empty. It would have been a lot less of a fall to fall forward. But I would have ended up in the auger. I never felt a thing. No soreness later. Anybody believe in angels?
