I was with my dad over at the neighbors helping put a corn dump together. I was around 5. I went around the end of the dump to get a wrench for my dad when the cable slipped and the dump fell. It hit me in the top of my head. I woke up on their side walk across the road and saw their daughter, a nurse. I remember her saying he's alright, he has his eyes open. I have a flat place on top of my head still and say I got my brains knocked out. Probably more truth than poetry. Today when some asks how am I. I just say "I am getting dumber every day". Now that is the truth!
