Schwabs sure ain't what it used to be. And it's not going to improve any. Things have gone downhill in a big way since the old man died. The grandkids and great grandkids were all raised with SHINY silver spoons in their mouths. One bought a little ranch across from me a few years ago(when I was still in Cent. Or). You couldn't believe the money they put into the place! Rectangle tube steel fence all along the hwy and down the driveways. Least 3/4 of a million bucks. JUST IN FENCING!!! They're bringin in bigwig execs to run the board, and it'll likely go public before long, then lookout for things to go downhill in a big hurry. Les always gave his employees an incredible opportunity to make a good living, given they WORKED for it. Won't stay that way once they have stockholders to answer to... I got quotes last fall for new tires from Discount, Costco, Schwabs, Summit Racing and a couple others. All but schwabs were within %10 of each other. Schwab was %30 higher!!! Never before bought tires anywhere but under the Les Schwab sign,untill now and I likely won't go back...
