Been fighting some kind of head cold/sinus infection for more than a week now. Go to thinking about how my mother made us take a tbl spoonful every morning. I didn't mind the taste. Since they changed the active ingrediant I wonder if it is still as effective. I haven't looked but can you even find cod liver oil anymore? The tonic was a non-alcoholic mix made of cod liver oil and had a licorice taste. Today, as sold, the active ingredient in Father John's Medicine is Dextromethorphan HBr.
