When I grew Silver Queen sweet corn I would soak the seed in liquid fertilizer for about 20 minutes. Then I would plant the seed and pour liquid ferilizer on top of the seed. When the corn was well established about a foot high I would side dress the corn with grandular fertilizer. We would freeze some of the corn in seal-a-meal bags after cutting the kernels from the cob. They were huge ears of corn.
When the corn was finished I made a big corn shock and let it dry. Then I ran it thru the Troy Bilt Chipper/shredder. I would spred the shredded stalks over the garden and plow them under. Hal
