Selling on Craig's or eBay is dealing with the public. So if you wanna make money, you just gotta deal with it.
As a buyer, it sure gets frustrated looking through the ads. When am I supposed to call? Most of my boozing is at mid nite or 6:00am, depending on what shift the wife is on. Do you really want a call then? If I wait until noon, then its sold.
Emails are so much easier as a buyer. I kinda bypass items without an email, figure they really aren't interested in selling.
Certainly a lot of give and take on both sides. I see a lot more 'abuse' by the sellers any more, poorly worded ads, no pics, no prices, no contact.... As the original poster says, just kinda turning into a poor deal. If you treat potential buyers so poorly, who do expect is going to show up at your door? And then complain about who tries to contact you - what do you expect?
