paul has got it right. our full time home is 600 ft. off of road and surrounded on 3 sides by deep woods, fences and distance homes so basically 1 way in and out. utilities pricey for that distance. we have experienced no problems with 2 years of full time living and 10 years of weekend living. i cultivate a good relationship with neighbors and yes we have a dog and guns. going to the mailbox, paper box and getting garbage can to road not exciting during inclement weather. we have an electric golf cart which is invaluable if there is room after the dog gets on.
