So you get the purple Trilliums (Wake-Robins) as well! Another beautiful picture. Thank you. I have travelled thru the Blue Ridge mountains a few times but it has been about 25 years now. You have a lot of maples down there as I recall. I have often wondered if the weather there is conducive to maple syrup production. Does it get cold at night (below freezing) with warm sunny days? That is what makes the sap flow so well up here. I assume if you do have a "sap season", it would be much earlier than here where it is just about to end for this year. Brian G.
