I knew you weren't trying to belittle people JD. But it's always easier to judge other people when you have a nest egg to fall back on. Local guy is big on judging other people and what they drive. Thing is, up till 3-4 years back he was driving junk like the rest of us. Then his wifes relation died and suddenly he found out he'd married an heiress to a shipping line and several hotels and other businesses in Europe. Now he gets on people that didn't fall into money, or as in this case, don't have a lifetime building something up behind them. Another neighbor is a great one for making fun of what he calls "hobby farmers" or new guys trying to start out. He's a good farmer and a great mechanic, but he forgets his father handed him 500 acres and 150 head of great milkers. That makes a huge dfference.
