I hope he learned from that experience, next time he might not be so lucky to have an escape route. You know as well as I do that you have to keep your attention focused far ahead and react to the brake lights you see a quarter a mile up the road. I know its easy to let the mind wander in wide open road but not seeing the stopped traffic and running 80+ in heavy gettin'on and gettin' off traffic is plain dumb-a** ! Those folks in that little car and who knows how many more would have been done for if he had not had an escape route. I saw the stopped traffic easily, not sayin' the CB saved my butt but it always comes in handy. I keep it squelched down so as not to have to listen to the garbage. I enjoy XM Radio with the CB set for close communication. Works very well that way. The company I drive for keeps a CB in every cab so no driver is without one.
