An old friend had to have a pace maker because his heart would stop.He was still putting up hay for years afterward. He was past eighty.Couldnt lift a bale any more but had a good helper. He had hay to sell. After he sold the farm he went down hill.My health is not good but I still like my garden and still cut fire wood. Some people have strange attitudes about heart problems.A friend has two metal knees but refuses to have any heart repairs or stents.I ask him whats the difference.Another I know is 90 years old and has had a heart valve replaced and says old age is hard but he is glad to be here.My knees hurt, my feet hurt and am starting to walk like Tim Conway when he did the old man sketches. An old friend said any day above ground if a good day. When you get old you will get dribbles even if you dont have prostate problems.Your mother needs to talk with some one who has a pacemaker.
