My mom was 86. She was ready to go home too. She was in a nursing home and decided to die. In about a week her wish came true. Mind over matter and not the first time I have heard of it.
I feel the same way. My systems are shutting down. I never popped a pill in my life and now pop half a dozen or so a day to replace this and that which aren't there in sufficient quantities any more.
I figure I have about 15 more good years and then I too am ready for the heap.
