IF I were in the market for a 3020, I would WANT a gasoline engine. It is a MUCH better choice for light duty work such as blading snow, mowing a few weeds, etc. The gas engine will start in cold weather much easier than a diesel, and you can do pretty much all the maintenance work yourself.
Oh, just to stay on topic, I wouldn't even consider taking a forklift of any kind in on trade unless you personally had a use for it.
