If it is a 7000 series gmc, the engine is likely a 3126 or a c-7 cat. They are about good for 250,000 miles. They prone to ring breakage. When they do this, they scuff the cylinder and you have to pull the block and bore and sleeve it. They do not have liners. It has huei fuel system which sometimes is problematic. WALK AWAY. The trans is likely a fuller/eaton 6 spd :pretty good trans,direct drive. I have worked on both at my job.Mark
