Timing is very important in these engines and a displaced woodruff on the crank/flywheel interface can be a problem as can a bad fitting flywheel. Otherwise the spacing of the mag to the flywheel. We usually used a brown grocery bag as the feeler gage, not the heavy duty like in a big box store, but the one in grocery stores.
