How would you get to 1000 RPM with a 540 tractor? Most tractors are at "combat speed" to get 540- you can't just magically double the engine speed.
I looked into getting a unit to gear up my 540 so I could run a generator on PTO that presently has its own engine, running 1,800. Cost was prohibitive, as I recall.
