I have what I thought to be an 8N, someone has center punched the serial number into engine casting where the tag would have been. The number indicates it"s a 1949, the block has an 8N-C in the casting just aft of where the starter bolts in. Here is the rub, the instrument panel, steering column & Throttle Quad plate look to be a 9N, also the brake adjuster on the rear wheels is also the 9/2N style. Guess I"m woldering if someone married up two different tractors to make one runner sometime in the past. Any one have an opinion on this?
