I have a '79 F2 also that I bought new back in the day. Originaly bought it new for $53K, and then $500 when I bought it back after 23 years.
Was restoring it and worked a couple of years on it. I have parts strung all over the shop for it and it just needs put back together.
At that time, my neghbor got to the point where he just couldn't handle his operation anymore as he was trying to farm at the age of 91 (I think?).
At any rate, that's when I started tending both his holdings and mine, which are strung across 3 sections.
With 500 acres in hay, 400 in wheat, another 400 in summer fallow, cattle and gobs of pasture land to manage, I just don't have time to be 'playin' with the old F2.
I must be gettin' old tho, as I just hired a young man to help in the farming operation. He's 22 and I sure hope he can keep up. :>)
