From local news paper: Man with a concealed carry permit got off work at midnight, took his holstered gun into a all night resturant. 2 men, one with gun, came in to rob the resturant. Told everyone to get on the floor, told cashier they would kill her if she couldn't get the safe open. Man with concealed weapon, fearing for his life, pulled his gun and killed the robber with a gun. The other robber got in a brief struggle with the armed man, gun went off, robber fled. His trial ended yesterday. He claimed that he just drove the car there and let the dead guy and another man out, of course not knowing they were planning a robbery. This is known among local lawyers as the SODDI defense, Some Other Dude Did It. Jury convicted him yesterday after one hour and 40 minutes of deliberation, judge gave him 30 years.
